Signals
A signal is what makes a lead worth a message now. Each campaign has four searches for them, in the Targeting tab under Signals.
Each search has its own switch, and each edit saves right away. While the campaign is finding leads and at least one search is on, the top bar shows Monitoring signals.
The four searches
Hiring
Finds companies hiring for job titles you list. Under Job titles, type the roles that show a company needs what you sell. If you sell recruiting help for sales teams, you might track "Account Executive".
Weak spots
Finds companies whose own website fails a check. Open the Checks we run menu and tick the ones your service fixes. You can only pick from the menu. If you need a check that isn't there, ask for it in Help & feedback and the team will look at it.
Running ads
Finds companies paying for Google or Meta ads right now. There's nothing to set up, so it's just on or off.
Finds people by what they do on LinkedIn. One switch covers two lists:
- Keywords: up to 5 words or phrases. Deberli checks LinkedIn every day for new posts with them, and looks at who reacted to and commented on the most discussed ones. People who fit your ICP become leads, whether they wrote the post or engaged with it.
- Pages and people to watch: up to 10 LinkedIn links to competitors, customers, partners or industry leaders. Deberli finds the people who react to and comment on their posts.
Which should I turn on?
| If you sell... | Try |
|---|---|
| A service that replaces or supports a role | Hiring, with that role's job titles |
| SEO, web or security work | Weak spots, with the checks you fix |
| Ads, landing pages or marketing | Running ads |
| Something people talk about openly | LinkedIn, with the phrases they use |
Pick the searches where the signal connects to what you sell. A company hiring for a role you could replace gives you something to say. A signal with no link to your offer doesn't.
How signals appear
A lead's signal shows in the Signal column of the Leads tab, with how long ago it happened and a link to the source. In messages, {{signal}} becomes one sentence about it. See Signal types.
